ive been dowloading this for 3 days and its having difficultis pls fix it wanna download it fast

This is a great game! I love the effects especially the bullets in slow motion when you make a kill shot! I also love how the movement is more life like! It did crash once however.

Good ----- Nice graphics Extensive video cutouts (annoying to some) Fun to play Graphics can be set low enough to play on laptops and older machines. Bad ----- Multiplayer is yet again Mac players only. Its a lonely place to find Mac players. Crashes on Intel GPU. Crashes after graphics settings have been changed. Note ----- There is often a lot of lag at the beginning and end of video cutouts. Nice to have a fast SSD drive. Old GPUs work fine, but for high resolution or other high settings one should have a 2011 or later Macbook Pro with discrete graphics. The hero is yet another middle aged white male. Sigh…

If you got the rig, get the game, nuff said...

This game is a piece of junk. Locks up when initializing game.Please, provide update and bug fixes. I am a big fan on the Max Payne games … but so far, this ones a bust and not playable.

Game freezes at the initializing screen Game freezes after you die and retry. Locks up the system, have to option+control+escape to force quit. USB Sound is bugged… No sound to USB speakers, Internal speakers only work. Having played through all these issues, I have had to restart the game and my system so many times… This game is more of an inconvenience than it is enjoyable. Please fix these issues soon. Thanks

I get black blocks around anything that I am shooting at and I cant even see the target. I set everything to the lowest settings and could not make it work reliably. First room looks ok, go down the elevator and then I get black blocks everywhere when shooting. I wasnt expecting the greatest performance on even a brand new Macbook Air but I was expecting to actually work at the lowsest resolution. Tried rebooting and not running anything else but it did not help.

I have a new top of the line iMac i7. Batman AC plays like a dream on my computer. This game is unplayable with my 360 Controller press the frie button and 3 minutes later the thing fires. I played this on the PC and it was great game. On the Mac its a POS

I can not believe this game crashes every time I start it. I have the new IMAC 27 32 GB ram. I dont think is my new IMAC. Something has to be fix really soon!

I have a 21.5-inch iMac, late 2012, 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB, 1 TB Fusion Drive, running 10.8 The game runs very smooth at 1920 x 1080 with texture quality, shader quality, reflection quality, & water quality all set to normal. FXAA is also set to normal with Anisotropic Filtering set to 2x. EYES The graphics are next gen with crisp & colorful cinematic effects and an abundance of in-game cutscenes along the way. Its almost like playing an interactive movie. In fact, Ive never seen so much motion capture in a game, ever. There are many moments that look real - like all the way real. EARS The sound enhances every moment - with dynamite voice acting, a fitting soundtrack, and satisfying weapon discharges. HANDS The controls are very good on keyboard and there is support for third party game controllers. The gameplay is addicting with matrix style slomo shooting. I highly recommend this game to fans of the Max Payne series as well as anyone that loves a good shooter mixed in with story telling. WARNING TO PARENTS This game is brutally violent and very adult in every other way. This game is not for your children.

Max Payne runs good and doesnt really crash, however, there is a weird problem when playing how i can see the sillouete of objects in the game that are on the floor above where the action is. also, the shadowing and lighting are displayed as sillouettes through walls and awkward shadowing of max himself. If this problem can be addressed, than i feel that this wont be an issue for a game more deserving of playing than this one. PLAYED ON 13" mac book pro

I never ever had any problems with the iTunes store games, This one however breaks this run. Never mind the ridiculous download size and the install time, i got it up and running for the first time. I have iMac the early 2012 version, pretty basic one. THe game ran fine on it, no glitches not the best graphics but the gameplay was not ok. Once i quitted the game and retried to log in again, i got the freez at the initializing screen. i waited for almost 5 minutes with nothing. So it is definitely a bug The worst thing about it, there is nothing u can do to get it out of this freeze, not even cmd+q … the only way is to hard reset ur mac. Now i have no idea how this got past any sort of QA from iTunes, i expect a fix for this version fast.

had this on xbox and just had to get it for my mac! Runs great on high settings at a decent resolution! the retina display is so good that you wouldnt even need to up the resolution anyway. im running a: Macbook pro retina 15" 8 GB of RAM 512 GB SSD and of course discreet graphics Nvidia 650 GT have had abosulutely no problems running the game

The game is an anthill of bugs. Total disappointment.

So after dropping my cash on this game and being very patient for the enormous download to finish, I finally launched the game … and it hung at the "Initializing" screen. Went to the website, and it told me to "not hit too many keys while the game loads." Ok, fine, whatever you say. Started it again. Hard hang this time before it even started loading and had to force-power-reset. Copied it to a different machine (taking hours over WiFi) that just had a fresh version of OS X installed on it. Should be much better, right? Crash. Rebooted, tried again, and the game actually began! Woohoo! Not so fast .. the mouse wasnt inverted as I like it, so I paused, turned on mouse invert, and resumed that game. Or didnt .. it crashed yet again. Started it up again, and now a discolored intro screen wont go away, so the game continues on invisibly underneath. A complete waste of time and money. Stay far, far away from this (literally and figuratively) monstrous pile of garbage.

Game is beautiful but no sound when you connect USP speakers at all. Only works with original speakers inside MBP or iMac Awaiting patch...

The single player is great fun. Having already seen a Lets Play of the game when it came out, I already know the story. I still like to watch the cutscenes, but some other people may be annoyed by it. The gamepaly itself is a bit bipolar. You can play it safe and stay in cover, or use shoot dodge to jump out and take out your enemies before they know what hit them. However, Max can only take so many shots, and pain killers are few and far between, so the run and gun technique from FPSs wont cut it. Multiplayer is ok, but very unbalanced. You WILL die, alot. Thats not to say it cant be enjoyed, but just be wary. All of the DLC is ported, but Id wait to buy it, since its all multiplayer based. The community is also rather small, since it is only mac to mac (Only people who own the MAS version). If you want mac-PC, you will need the steam version. Game plays great on my computer: MacBook Pro 25", Mountain Lion, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB.

my game will not download from the app store:( it keeps saying "Error has occurred" and i have no idea what the problem is. Who should i contact for support? can anyone help me? PLEASE HELP!!!

I love this game and was ~ 2/3 of the way through. For no apparent reason the game no longer progresses after you press first "initializing" screen. What gives Rockstar? This game is broken. I want my $40 back

Buggy, glitchy, frustrating. I will change my rating if they fix the bugs.
